Meet the Two Birdz
Our friendly team are here to help and support you personally, while connecting with communities and encouraging your family and friends to be our partners in care.
Meet Jacinta
Jacinta loved hearing stories of her parents and grandparents. To this day, she continues to enjoy stories of clients within the Aged Care sector. Jacinta tries to visualise herself in their life, which allows her to connect, especially those living with dementia who are often disconnected. She is committed and determined to assist and re-orientate clients to a place that is relevant to them, in their own way.
She is driven to improve her work on a daily basis and to know she is making a difference in someone’s life.
Jacinta has worked in the Aged Care industry as a Lifestyle Coordinator, Activity Worker and a short time in the Disability sector for over 15 years. She has been and still committed to activities that are relevant, enjoyable and provide connections to each and every individual.
Jacinta is one of 14 children from a large family of hard working farmers. Her father Vin who was a man of knowledge and resourcefulness never gave up on anything he did, especially in times of hardship. And her mother Noreen whose sense of humour and strong communication shaped Jacinta into the person that she is today.
Vin and Noreen played a big part in Jacinta’s life and to this day she continues to strive and follow their footsteps.
Meet Gina
Gina always wanted to be a nurse, however was not sure what type of nurse. She began her career working in a Nursing Home back in 1986 for work experience. Even after her many years of education and experience, Gina continues to further her study and knowledge within the Aged Care industry to further enhance her skills and provide even greater care to those who need it. She truly found her calling in Aged Care.
Gina worked in a Planned Activity Group as an Activity Worker for 3 years, where she has developed, planned and delivered high quality activities. Gina has worked in many roles in the Aged Care sector for over 18 years, caring for clients over 65 years of age and has worked with clients under the age of 65 years with Huntington’s disease, Multiple Sclerosis and Acquired Brain Injuries, to enable them to live a fulfilling life. She appreciates and dedicates herself, without judgement, each and every individual regardless on age, race, disability, culture and religious/spiritual beliefs.
Being part of a large Italian ~ Calabrese family, Gina is the youngest of 8 girls. Her father Luigi and mother Maria, instilled within Gina strong values and traditions. She embraces her upbringing and embodies her traditions when delivering care to those who need it. You’ll warm to Gina immediately and be laughing along with her almost as quickly!
Two Birdz Together
Jacinta and Gina became work colleagues and great friends 3 years ago. They became equal business partners, as this was not difficult at all, seeming they had the same dedication, support and caring outlook in the community care industry and in their personal lives.
Jacinta and Gina have 30 years experience together and are fortunate enough to have experienced firsthand, many different areas in community care. They have learned, developed, accomplished and completed relevant Aged Care courses and training and supported many participants linked with the NDIS. Jacinta and Gina believe in their capability to help, listen and understand each and every person, individually. It is important to them to give and keep Quality of Life to their clients, hence their motto Happiness improves your Quality of Life. Together, their caring, understanding, non-judgemental personalities not to mention their contagious happiness, have been visibly and verbally noticed by clients and their families. We at JG CARE ~ trading as Two Birdz, are always open to any suggestions and ideas from clients, families, staff and each other.
